This course provides an overview of the suicide assessment, prevention, and management training for counselors, therapists, and other healthcare providers in any jurisdiction. Included are a variety of best practice and evidence-based intervention strategies as well as current and recommended language regarding patient-centric suicide terminology.

This course is intended to instruct interprofessional team members to be knowledgeable of the higher risks of dysphagia with cardiopulmonary patients so they will address it as a team.

Dr. Ertl has experience in a broad variety of evidence-based treatments, including EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Dr. Ertl is additionally in process of completing her certification to become a sex therapist. Her private practice aims to work with individuals whose trauma reactions play a role in their sexual functioning.
