Kelley O’Leary is a registered nurse with a master’s degree in community health nursing from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. She is an infection preventionist (IP) with over 20 years’ experience. She has worked in both clinical and public health settings. Kelley has been an educator throughout her career and has specific teaching experience in a nursing program at a community college. Kelley has done several presentations on infection prevention for a wide variety of groups. Her latest work project is implementing a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) national training collaborative focused on infection prevention and control. She is a member of the Alaska and Hawaii Association for Professionals in Infection Control and has been certified in infection control since 2005. She lives in Keaau, Hawaii, with her husband and two rottweiler dogs.
