Illinois Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants, did you know that the worlds first skyscraper was built in Chicago? Did you also know that your license renewals may be due this September? If the Illinois Physical Therapists 40-hour CEU requirement and Physical Therapist Assistants 20-hour CEU requirements are towering over you, HomeCEU is here to help!
Illinois PT Continuing Education Requirement
Illinois Physical Therapy Licensing and Disciplinary Board requires PTs to have 40 continuing education hours by September 30, 2012, and PTAs to have 20 continuing education hours by September 30, 2013. Of those CEU hours, no less than half must be completed via live courses. The remaining half can be obtained via home study courses. This means that Illinois Physical Therapists can have at least 20 live hours and 20 home study hours to satisfy their requirement. PTAs need to have at least 10 live hours and then can take up to 10 home study hours to meet their requirement.
Getting Your Live Requirements at Rehab Rally
With HomeCEU, both PTs and PTAs can get ALL of their required hours before their deadline. In Chicago, on August 24-26, 2012, we will be hosting Rehab Rally! Rehab Rally is a live continuing education conference providing Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapist Assistants, and Athletic Trainers the opportunity to receive required live contact hours. This live conference will be hosted at the Westin O'Hare Hotel in Chicago, just minutes from the OHare International Airport. Rehab Rally will allow therapists the opportunity to get 20 live hours by following three approved tracts covering General Therapy, Geriatric Rehabilitation, or Orthopedic/Sports. You can also pick and choose classes from any of the tracts to custom fit your preference.
