Liz Holey is a Chartered and HPC-Registered Physiotherapist and serves as Deputy Dean of the School of Health and Social Care at Teesside University, UK. She qualified as a physiotherapist in 1978 and has worked as a clinician in the UK National Health Service in Yorkshire and Norfolk. She has taught and undertaken leadership roles in Bradford and Leeds, as well as universities in Norwich, York and Teesside. She has also taught in Malta, Poland, Germany and Malaysia and has presented at conferences in the UK, Poland, Spain, Malaysia and the USA.
Liz is a specialist in international educational workforce development, inter-professional education and connective tissue manipulation. She has undertaken consultancy and expert witness work and supervises and examines PhD students. Liz has published in books and journals and has been successful in obtaining research and other external funding. She also has experience as a career and is a Health Professions Council Visitor and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
