Dr. Kerry Holt, PT, DPT received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame with a double major in pre-professional studies and psychology in 1999. She went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University School of Medicine in 2002. Dr. Holt has been a practicing clinician for over 10 years with extensive experience in the areas of geriatrics, neuromuscular rehabilitation, orthopedics and sports rehabilitation. She has maintained active personal interest and participation in athletics, is married, and has two children.
Dr. Holt began teaching courses pertaining to injury and disease prevention out of an overwhelming response from her patients on the value of the education provided during her treatments. The sense of “I wish I had known that before this happened.”, or “If I had known that, maybe this wouldn’t have happened.” was present with almost every patient. Dr. Holt’s vision is to educate clinicians on the research pertaining to injury and disease prevention such that this information can be applied to clinical practice for purposes of prophylaxis and health promotion.
