GIRD: What It Is, What It Isn’t, and What To Do About It
Kevin Wilk discusses everything a healthcare professional needs to know about glenohumeral internal rotation deficit (GIRD) and how to treat it effectively. The Overhead Athlete (Part 2) - Rehabilitation Following Shoulder Surgery

- Recognize stretches and warm up activities appropriate for internal rotation of the Glenohumeral joint.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the anatomy and biomechanics of the shoulder complex.
- Recognize the pathomechanics of various shoulder injuries in the overhead thrower.
- Identify specific clinical examination tests and maneuvers for the shoulder in the thrower.
- Identify exercise techniques for the shoulder complex and evaluate the exercises effectiveness.
