Structural Integration is a system of looking at the body in the context of how it is influenced by gravity. In this course will learn the history and theory of SI, how to test and evaluate posture and function, and how to develop a series of treatments using a variety of massage and bodywork techniques.
This course provides several demonstrations examining postures and gait patterns, and discusses hyperlordosis and pronation/supination. Particular focus is paid to evaluating posture and movement.

Course Goals & Objectives:
This course is designed to guide the professional through a self-paced study on evaluating posture and movement in structural integration.
At the conclusion of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Recognize the founder of Structural Integration (SI).
- Identify three important influences in the founder’s life that led to the development of SI.
- Define Structural Integration and list typical postural and gait patterns.
- List the common elements and differences between myofascial release and Structural Integration.
- Identify evaluation of posture and movement procedures in the context of SI.
Criteria for Completion:
A score of 70% or more is considered passing. Scores of less than 70% indicate a failure to understand the material and the test will need to be taken again until a passing score has been achieved.
