Course Description

HIV-education is mandatory in some states because of the risk of discrimination against HIV-positive clients, NOT because there is a risk for the practitioner. There is a natural inclination to shy away from treating patients with communicable diseases, particularly HIV/AIDS. It is important to not panic if you find out that a new client is HIV-positive and this course will teach you why you shouldn't.

This course discusses the disease and it's methods of transmission and how to treat HIV-positive patients without the worry of contracting the disease.
