To empower the learner with Florida requirements for defining and reporting incidents and adverse events in SNFs and ALFs.
Professional Objectives:
- Cite the applicable regulations and statutes for Florida assisted living facilities (§ 429.23) and skilled nursing facilities (§ 400.147) for adverse incidents and reporting
- Identify terms related to adverse events, per the Florida regulations
- Cite the protocols for use of the incident report form
- Identify the correct steps and timelines for investigating an incident
