Charles Leddon has been the Sports Medicine Research Associate at the Andrews Research and Education Foundation for two and a half years, where he oversees the biomechanics lab, fellow’s research projects, and manages the research initiatives for the physicians of the Andrews Institute. He did his undergraduate educational work at Pepperdine University in sports medicine, where he also traveled with the national championship baseball team as an athletic trainer (1992), and did his master’s level work in biomechanics as well as his doctoral work in sports medicine Oregon State University.
Charles has been a certified Athletic Trainer for 23 years, including 18 years in professional baseball and currently serves as the AA athletic trainer for the Cincinnati Reds in conjunction with his position at AREF. His clinical experiences have included work in international sports with the US luge team and Australian national baseball team, the collegiate level with Pepperdine, Oregon State, and St. Mary’s College of Maryland, as well as work at the high school level and in multiple PT clinical settings during his career.
