Pediatric Voice Disorders and Therapy


Course Description

This course is designed for SLP’s who work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. Coming to the fore of pediatric voice issues, is the high propensity of underlying medical conditions which threaten to affect the health of children for many years to come.

This course outlines these medical conditions and how the SLP can incorporate their treatment into their therapy goals. Developmentally appropriate therapy, complete with IEP acceptable goals and objectives will be outlined in this highly interactive class.

By the end of this course, healthcare professionals will be confident in identifying voice disorders and their underlying causations, designing sound therapy programs which meet school criteria, and carrying out developmentally based techniques which achieve results.
