This course is intended to provide therapists and fitness trainers with the knowledge and skills to develop and implement comprehensive exercise strategies for the aging adult. Utilization of these concepts and techniques will  help the fitness professional guide individuals  to help them safely and effectively reach their goals by increasing their neuromuscular coordination  and stability, as well as their strength and cardiorespiratory fitness.

As a result of this education, more therapists and fitness professionals will have the ability to execute properly progressed fitness programs  for the aging adult that have the potential to help their clients to safely achieve and exceed their goals. 

With heightened success in desirable outcomes, this could raise the standard for therapists and strength and conditioning coaches to follow a health based approach which could result in more functionally fit individuals as well as offset the likelihood of injury.
