The first step to preparing for the Skilled Nursing Facility is to define and understand what to expect when working in this setting. It's important to know the complex rules to reimbursement, as that determines the day to day job description of the SLP.
This course prepares the Speech-Language Pathologist to be successful when working in the skilled nursing environment. It is often difficult and even fearful to consider working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) when one’s experience is in another setting or they are graduating and starting work at this type of setting. While it often takes months to feel completely confident and comfortable, working in a SNF, this course is a great tool box of information to completely prepare the SLP to maximize their skills and opportunities.
