Symptom-Based Medical Screening for the Physical Therapist


Course Description

This course will discuss the mechanisms, characteristics and sources of pain.  An emphasis will be placed on contrasting systemic, musculoskeletal, viscerogenic and psychogenic pain and associated symptoms during the medical screening process.  In addition, screening for different causes of dizziness and traumatic brain injury will be addressed.  A case study will be presented to reinforce and integrate course concepts.
