Prevention and Treatment of Pressure Ulcers through Diverse Adjunctive Therapies

Course Description

Pressure ulcers are a frequently occurring problem in post-acute healthcare settings throughout the world. In the United States, pressure ulcer care is estimated to approach $11 billion annually for 2.5 million patients, a cost which is highly preventable through proactive interventions. The need for an aggressive interdisciplinary approach in the post acute setting exceeds the aforementioned cost.
