Course Description

The purpose of the Emergency Response for the 21st Century course is to provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as a first responder in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the consequences of an injury or sudden illness until more advanced medical help can arrive.

The course details common trauma and emergency situations and proper interventions for each. Healthcare professionals leave this course armed to effectively respond to breathing emergencies,  heart attacks, strokes and accidents.
