Course Description

Do you want to learn some hands-on techniques to use with your patients? This course will give you hands-on experience with resistive bands, flexibility techniques with stretch bands and stabilizers to improve your patient care.  We’ll be looking at the scientific basis and clinical research of resistance training, dosing of elastic resistance exercise, and exercise applications with patients of all levels, with techniques and the integrated uses of elastic resistance. We’ll also be integrating stretch bands, resistive bands, balance, and stability trainers with a variety of exercises to improve patient’s functional levels.

Resistive exercise adds a variety of exercise applications to patient treatments, allows a combination of bands, flexibility and balance techniques that challenge the patient not only neuromuscular but sensory and vestibular as well. With a resistive band, you can work in all positions. You can focus on functional, repetitive techniques that facilitate progress. It has so many integrated uses.
