Course Description

Neurological rehab is not the same old thing anymore. The area of neuro rehabilitation has exploded over the last 10-15 years and some of the things healthcare professionals used to do clinically have changed. There is new rationale and new information about how therapists should change what they do in clinical practice.

The course focuses on an clinical strategies of gait training for the neurologically impaired, treatment and intervention of stroke, Parkinson’s, MS and incomplete SCI, as well as treatment strategies and treatment planning for patients with MS, Parkinson’s, and post-stroke patients. Healthcare professionals are provided with a wide range of material that includes identification between different phases of gait, gait assessments using the ICF model, facts, clinical manifestations, and assessment/examination methods in patients with MS and Parkinson’s Disease.
